Hier eine kurze Zusammenfassung des aktuellen Kenntnisstands:
Es gibt derzeit 38 Namen in der Supporter-Mailingliste, davon haben es auch 14 auf unsere Diskussionsplatform talk.berlinburner.de geschafft.
Noch mal zur Erinnerung: in Berlin steht das „Haus der Statistik“ am Alexanderplatz (Otto-Braun-Straße Ecke Karl-Marx-Allee) seit 10 Jahren leer und soll in ca. 2-3 Jahren umgebaut werden für Wohnen, Kultur&Soziales und dem Bezirksrathaus von Mitte. Bis dahin soll es die Möglichkeit geben, Pionier-/bzw. Zwischennutzer*innen für 2-3 Jahre zu sein (mit der Chance auf einen späteren festen Mietvertrag). Ziel der Zwischennutzung ist, das Gebäude zu beleben, Gruppen miteinander zu vernetzen und auch die Nachbarschaft mit einzubeziehen. Die Vorbereitungen dafür laufen seit letztem Jahr.
Unser Vorschlag und Angebot als Angehörige der Burner-Communities ist, einen gemeinsamen Versammlungsraum zu gestalten und zu organisieren, in dem Burner-Zusammenkünfte, aber auch Aktivitäten anderer Gruppen stattfinden können. Ähnliches wird schon erfolgreich in anderen Ländern (speziell Dänemark und Schweden) gemacht, und wir können von deren Erfahrungen profitieren.
Es gab Mitte Juni ein Treffen mit der Genossenschaft, bei dem der aktuelle Planungsstand mitgeteilt wurde, und sich die Pioniergruppen unter Zuhilfenahme von Grundrissen auch verschiedene Räume angeschaut haben. Es kommen die Erdgeschosse von zwei Gebäudeteilen in Frage, Haus A entlang der Karl-Marx-Allee (dort findet gerade auch die Ausstellung über das gesamte Thema statt) und Haus D, der etwas zurückgesetzte Mittelteil an der Otto-Braun-Strasse.
Während Haus A jetzt schon „in Betrieb“ genommen wird mit der Ausstellung und ersten Pioniernutzern, dauert es bei Haus D wahrscheinlich noch einen Monat länger, bis dort aktiv gestaltet werden kann. Die Zuordnung der Räume wird im Prinzip von den beteiligten Gruppe untereinander ausgehandelt. Im Haus D findet im großen Ausstellungsbereich die „Summerschool“ der Universität der Künste Berlin statt, dabei wird seitens der UdK und ihrer Student*innen einiges an Arbeit und Infrastruktur in diesen Bereich gesteckt.
Es sind jetzt auch finanzelle Eckdaten bekannt. Die Pioniernutzung ist ja quasi selbstfinanziert, deshalb werden die notwendigen Kosten für die Nutzung und minimale Instandsetzung auch von den Pionier*innen selbst getragen (falls nicht doch noch irgendwo Förderung um die Ecke kommt). Letzter Stand ist: keine Kaltmiete, Betriebskostenanteil (Wasser, Strom, Entsorgung etc.) ca. 2€ pro m2, dazu ein Baukostenanteil je nach finanziellen Möglichkeiten von 0€-5€ pro m2. Es wird dazu eine entsprechende Nutzungsvereinbarung unterzeichnet.
Für das Haus A gibt es am kommenden Montag ein Pioniergruppen-Treffen, da werden wir auch für das Haus D versuchen den letzten Stand zu erfahren.

Here is a short summary of the current state of knowledge:
There are currently 38 names in the supporter mailing list, and 14 of them made it to our discussion platform talk.berlinburner.de.
As a reminder: in Berlin, the „House of Statistics“ at Alexanderplatz (Otto-Braun-Straße corner of Karl-Marx-Allee) was empty for 10 years and will be remodeled in about 2-3 years for housing, culture & social affairs and the District Town Hall of Mitte. Until then there will be the opportunity for pioneer resp. interim users for 2-3 years (with the chance of a later permanent location). The purpose of the temporary use is to revive the building, to network between groups and to include the neighborhood. Preparations have been going on since last year.
Our proposal and offer as members of the Burner communities is to design and organize a common meeting room where Burner meetings as well as activities of other groups can take place. Similar things have being done successfully in other countries (especially Denmark and Sweden), and we will benefit from their experiences.
There was a meeting in mid-June with the cooperative, in which the current state of planning was communicated, and the pioneer groups, with the help of floor plans, also inspected the different rooms. They are on the ground floors of two parts of the building in question: House A along the Karl-Marx-Allee (there is also currently the exhibition on the entire topic) and House D, the slightly recessed middle section of the building along Otto-Braun-Strasse.
While House A is already „put into operation“ with the exhibition and first pioneer users, house D will probably take another month to become active. The allocation of the rooms is negotiated generally together by the groups involved. In House D, the „Summerschool“ of the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) takes place in the large exhibition area, and the UdK and its students will put also some of work and infrastructure into this area.
There are now also financial key data known. The pioneer usage is almost self-financed, so the necessary costs for the use and minimal maintenance are also to be paid by the pioneers themselves (if there isn’t some funding around the corner). Last Stand is: no rent, operating costs share (water, electricity, disposal, etc.) about 2 € per m2, plus a construction cost depending on financial possibilities from 0€ to 5€ per m2. A corresponding user agreement will be signed.
For House A, there will be a pioneer group meeting next Monday, as we will also try to find out the latest status for House D.
